Get ready
Before first use
- 1Remove all labels and wipe the inside and outside with a damp cloth.
- 2Run one empty Decarb cycle to clear any factory dust.
Every time you use it
- 1Check that the inside of the Main Body and the bottom of the Glass are dry.
- 2Place the Main Body on the Base with the Base Mark facing you.
- 3Plug in and wait for the beep and solid Point LED.
Decarb and Bio Decarb
-
1Fill the Glass with dry herbs below the MAX mark.
-
2Fit the Sleeve and cover tightly with the Dish Lid.
-
3Press the covered Glass firmly into the Main Body so it touches the bottom probes.
-
4Turn the Rotary Control to Decarb or Bio Decarb. After 3 seconds it beeps and the Ring LED pulses.
-
5When heating ends, let the Glass cool in the cooker or take it out to cool at room temperature.
-
6When the cycle finishes and beeps, turn the Rotary Control to OFF.
Tips
- Break large pieces of plant material into smaller, even pieces before starting.
- Any moisture condensed during Decarb evaporates naturally during the Oil cycle.
Oil and Bio Oil
-
1Add oil or melted butter to the activated herbs in the Glass, staying below the MAX mark.
-
2Fit the Sleeve, check the Glass bottom is dry, and cover with the Dish Lid.
-
3Press the covered Glass firmly into the Main Body so it touches the bottom probes.
-
4Turn the Rotary Control to Oil or Bio Oil. After 3 seconds it beeps and the Ring LED pulses.
-
5When heating ends, let the Glass cool in the cooker or at room temperature.
-
6When the cycle finishes and beeps, turn the Rotary Control to OFF.
Filter the oil
Let the Glass cool first before fitting the Filter Set.
-
1Place a clean jar with an opening wider than the Spout nearby.
-
2Remove the Dish Lid and fit the Filter Set onto the Glass.
-
3Hold the Support Lid firmly, turn the Glass upside down over your jar, and press the Finger Grip.
Collect the last of the oil
-
1Add warm water to cover the herbs, swirl gently, and let the oil rise into a clear top layer.
-
2Refit the Filter Set and attach the Pipette to the Spout with the Lock Ball.
-
3Press the Filter Disc slowly until oil fills the Pipette, seal the top with your thumb, and release into your jar.
Evaporation
Use food-grade, non-denatured ethanol (95% / 190 proof recommended). Speed: 50 ml/hour at max 102 °C / 215.6 °F.
-
1Pour the infused food-grade ethanol into the Glass below the MAX mark.
-
2Press the dry Glass firmly into the Main Body so it touches the bottom probes.
-
3Fit the short end of the Condenser into the Filter Set Spout, then close the Glass.
-
4Stand a second empty Glass next to the cooker under the long end of the Condenser.
-
5Turn the Rotary Control to Evaporation. After 3 seconds it beeps and the Ring LED pulses.
-
6Once the desired amount of ethanol has evaporated, turn the Rotary Control to OFF.
Tips
- Evaporation stops automatically at 102 °C / 215.6 °F so the herbal extract never burns.
- If thick extract sticks to the bottom, dissolve it with a few drops of ethanol and pour it onto the non-stick silicone Dish Lid to air-dry.
Cleaning
-
1Rinse first with warm water to remove residue.
-
2Take the Filter Disc out of the Filter Funnel before washing.
-
3Use the wool Brush for the narrow parts of the Filter Set.
- Glass
- Dishwasher safe. Rinse with warm water first, then wash like a normal glass.
- Filter Set
- Dishwasher safe once disassembled. Keep the rod and Pipette upright in the rack.
- By hand
- Wash with warm water and mild dish soap. Wipe the Main Body with a damp cloth only.
